I'm an idiot

I'm coming out of a parking lot today getting ready to turn onto a very busy street. There's a stalled truck in the lane I was getting ready to turn in, which I did not notice at first. There are police officers, one looking right at me. He says to me "Is this your truck?" So I look at him like as to say "DUH, do you not see me driving this car?!" and say "uh, NO." and when he doesn't respond, I look over and notice this man and then realize that the officer was apparently talking to him and not me! I then tried to play it off and turn the other way! Sometimes I just laugh at myself and this goes through my head!
